Last Word
This quaint Purvis Street cocktail bar is operated like a traditional Japanese bar. It got its name from a cocktail invented in Japan way back in the 1920s Prohibition Era. The namesake cocktail is concocted by the calm and courteous Japanese bartender from green Chartreuse, Hendrick’s gin, Maraschino, and lime, and is served with a homemade brandied cherry. The minimalist decor serves to shine the limelight on the brilliantly executed tipples. Last Word is the kind of place where you can enjoy a drink with friends and have a conversation without a wild party blasting away around you. This is the place to mellow out after a hard day doing whatever you came to Singapore to do!
Native
This sanctuary of the spirits, both human and alcoholic, is situated on the second floor above busy Amoy Street. The bar is dedicated to using the unique and varied liquors of Southeast Asia as the base for its unique and sometimes unearthly cocktails. You can learn about the many odd and wonderful spirits sourced from India, the Philippines, Thailand and more, then enjoy them in amazing concoctions like the Oolong Highball, comprised of oolong kombucha, shochu, sake, and yuzu. The craftsmanship of these eccentric and utterly delicious cocktails is a testament to the mixologist arts.
